Tomorrow’s Telecom Today: VoIP Supafone
It seems everyone is talking about the new telephone service, Voice Over Internet Protocol, and VoIP Supafone offers the best this 21st Century technology has to offer without the difficulties. Whether desktop or laptop or smaller, computers are everywhere in our lives today. It only makes sense that the telecom innovation of the era would combine the Internet and the telephone, both for savings and convenience.
The first thing most people see is the difference in VoIP price. Voice Over Internet is dramatically cheaper than conventional telephone service. Snap in the hardware and the office manager will be spending about the monthly budget for post-it notes. A further advantage is the condensing of bills now that your expense for telephony arrives on your Internet bill.
The VoIP telephone companies typically offer a “base price”, then offer caller ID with name, call forwarding and call waiting, and conference calling as additional services for additional fees. So much for the “base price”. The computer-based services come with these services, standard, at the same low price that was lower than the telephone companies’ “base price” anyway.
One of the perceived disadvantages to Voice Over is that you’d be rooted to a particular spot, but it actually is mobile. All you need with you is a laptop and a headset or VoIP phone adaptor, and you’ll be ready anywhere there’s wireless service – which, happily, is just about anywhere there’s wireless telephone coverage as well. The one stipulation is that the Internet must be on in order to make and receive calls. This also means that the power must be on.
This can be a problem, certainly for a small business. It’s less uncommon for the Internet to crash than for conventional telephone service to go down. It’s also less uncommon for the power to go out. You might not be able to afford any interruption in your telephone capacity, simply because people expect it.
Here is precisely where Supafone has the edge over most Voice Over products. It’s a telecommunications amphibian. You can use it over the Internet, or, when it’s time for a switch, you can use it with your conventional telephone service. Remember that because Voice Over is so inexpensive, you can actually have both, and use the service that’s cheapest as your main option.
Now you have the cost savings of Voice Over without having to bet the house on what might be an unfamiliar technology. It’s the best of both worlds. It’s worth giving a look and a listen to VoIP Supafone.
