The ABC’s To Adding Borders With Photoshop
Photographs will be highlighted by borders. Web graphics designers utilize borders to enhance and beautify their creations. Normal people like you and me can do simple techniques for creating personal lovely photographs. With the help of Photoshop, you will be able to make your own borders. Here are steps on how to add borders to your photography.
First, choose the shape of the border you want for your image. Click the desired border shape then surround the area of the image wherein you want to place the border. If you desire to surround the whole picture with a border just click on “Select All”.
Go to the Select menu to edit your border. Click “Edit” and choose “Stroke” so a dialog box will open for the settings of the border. You can then choose which color or pixel size you want. Click on “Color Picker” to choose which color you want.
The next thing is to choose the location of the border. Make use of the marquee tool used in the first step. When you choose “Inside”, the border is basically situated within the dashed marquee line or, in other words, directly centered on the line. For “Outside”, the border is placed outside the marquee line
Lastly, select the desired blending mode and opacity you want for your photograph. And after that, you have to click on the “Ok” button so that you can take a look at the finished border which you have selected. If you do not like the border which you have created, you can always go back and start over again from the beginning. If you think you are done, then save the edited picture.
Editing your picture with Photoshop so that it will have some border is something which can be finished quickly. You have already learned how to design and add borders to your pictures. Having that said, there is no need to ask a professional graphics designer to do it.
