How can you tell what IP you are on your wireless home network? Will it be the same for the same computer?
I tried going to run>ipconfig and it shows a window for less than a second and then disappears. Why would this happen? Is there another way to see what your IP is on your wireless network? I'm using a Belkin router, so I know it should be in the form of 192.168.2.??? Also, will I get the same IP on my local network everytime I get online with the same computer? Thanks for all the help! Thanks for the help! I made the stupid mistake run>ipconfig instead of run>cmd>ipconfig

- It depends on which wireless connection is made first. It will be 192.168.2. 75.for the first pc..... 43 for the second....26 for the third.....and 56 for the fourth.
- try going to run and typinging "cmd". Then, when the prompt opens, type "ipconfig". Your router has a client table. Once you are assigned an IP address, it is leased to your machine for a certain amount of time. Odds are, you will continue to get the same address.
- Start button Run "command" or "cmd" is the easiest way to launch the command prompt then type ipconfig. You can also log into your belkin routers admin page and pull up a list of what computer has what ip associated with it. An no the local IP is not always going to be the same IP however more often then not it is the same.
