Can I create a wireless home network using a laptop with wireless broadband access?

I have a laptop with a Verizon wireless broadband PCI card that allows me to access the internet. Is there any way I can share this internet access and create a wireless home network with it? Can I just connect a wi-fi (wireless) router to the laptop and have it work?

1. Unless you have another wireless card, the problem would be connecting it such that you would have a separate network. I mentioned this on another question the other day. If your laptop has a Ethernet port, then you can get a combination wired / wireless router, hook it up (i be live you would need to do it via cable) and configure it such that the laptop would be a gateway. I have sympathy for your family when you go to work with your laptop.
2. The problem is that it depends on what kind of a computer you have.
