How do I connect my wireless network card to the Internet?

I have a netgear wireless card and I am connected to the wireless router, I go into a browser and type a URL but I get no webpages.

1. Make sure that your MAC address filtering is set up correctly
2. turn it on and in the lower corner of your computer click the computer with an x
3. Yeah make sure that the mechanical switch is turned "on" on your laptop. Also, go to network connections via "my computer" and make sure that u have a wireless connection configured, if not, it only takes like 30 secs to make one, all u have to do is give it a title pretty much. Hope you get it working!
