Can you use a wireless bridge to connect direct to a wireless card?

Im setting up a network and want to connect a server to the internet. Both the server and modem are in seperate rooms, a fair distance apart. I do not want to use messy ethernet cables running between the rooms so I am considering using a wireless bridge from the modem which will connect to the wireless PCI card on the Server. Will I need to use two wireless bridges between the server and modem or will I be ok just using the wireless card? I know I could use a wireless router but I want to use the server to route to the rest of the network so I want all traffic to pass through the server. The rest of the network will also use wireless bridges to connect to the server. Will my network work like this?
