How do you take a wireless card out of a laptop?
I'll be more specific if it helps: The PC is a Dell inspiron 1150. The card is a Dell Wireless WLAN 1350 WLAN mini-PCA card. It's the card that came with the computer. I'm aware that you have to open the computer, but since I don't know how to do that either, include the steps for this in the answer if possible. Also, I would like to install the card into another computer (A Dell desktop) so if you also know how to do that (wow, you'd have to be pretty smart to answer this question in full) then that would be a great help. Thanks.

- Well what your trying to do would require some odd adapter that I have never seen. Normally it would be plugged into a mini pci slot. I think you would be much better off buying a wireless card that is designed for a desktop especially since you do not know what you are doing.
- On the bottom of the laptop, you will see several slot covers that are removed by taking a screw out. Usually there are 2-4 covers on the bottom. You are looking for the one that is usually closest to the network jack on the side or back of the laptop. Just remove the screw/s, and you should see the Wireless card. It will be labeled as "Dell Wireless WLAN 1350" so it is hard to mix it up. All you have to do then is push the little retention clips on both sides of the card and it will pop up, then just pull it out. There will probably be a few wires attached to it, just pull them off gently. You could not install the card into a desktop as the desktop motherboard will not have a slot for that type of card.
- Hard to say but it wouldn't be worth the trouble... the antenna is behind the screen and the card is somewhere on the MB.
