How do you find out a persons true IP address?
I am looking for someone who can help me to find out a persons true IP address. I have gone to some of those site where you enter the IP address and it tells you where it comes from but most say yahoo, juno etc. I want to trace it farther than that?

- You can't unless they are a big corporation. Most users are dynamically allocated an IP address when they connect to their ISP and there is no reference lookup to work out which person has which IP address. And even if you get that close, all you find is the NATted IP address of their internet connection. They will have a different IP address inside their router. Or alternatively, people don't have IP addresses. only computers have IP addresses. Why do you want their IP address? Why not ask them for it if you want it that badly?
- why would you need to know someone's ip address??
- You could make a LiveJournal, post...then make sure "Record IP Address" is on for Comments. Get the person to post a comment in response to your journal. Works like a charm.
