I was tolD that my computer is not finding any network and i need to get a new ip address and all that stuff. I tried doing it myself but i still cant get the connection. I'm using linksys if that helps. Thanks!

  1. What are you trying to connect to?
  2. From what you describe so far, either your TCP/IP network stack is corrupted, OR your Network Interface Card and/or wireless adapter at your computer is not working correctly or BOTH. In any case we need more information to help. 1) Do you have a Desktop or a Laptop? 2) What are you trying to connect from and to? 3) You mention a router I presume? You said Linksys, is that your router? Is it a wireless router? or Simply a wired router? It's all in the details.
  3. For this certain type of issue, there are certain things that has to be checked first before we go haywire, reinstalling the TCP/IP would be the first step, checking the software for the wireless adapter if its currently udpated or needs to be reinstalled, securing the LAN cables, powercycle the Linksys router, those are the usual steps we take with TCP/IP issues if its missing.
