How do you change your IP address without screwing up your internet?

Is there a program that would allow me to change my IP address regularly?

  1. I dont think it is possible with a programme.. U have to go through ur Internet Service Provider..
  2. if you are not paying for a static IP then your IP is dynamic and changes every time you log on to the Internet
  3. woah, what's the problem with you dude! lxl_snatch_addict_lxl i know you can answer but this is ridiculous by the by as for your question, i don't think you can change your IP address!
  4. hey snatch? go get your brain.it's missing in action
  5. If you have a dynamic IP, just unplug your modem for a few minutes and replug it, you should then have a different IP. If you have a static IP, there's no way to change it, unless you call customer service of your provider and get them to change it.
  6. No, there is no programme that would do that, except if you pick the automatic settings on your computer. you could do that by going to my network places. Click on view network connections. When you see the internet connections icon, right-click on it and go to properties. scroll down and click on internet protocol, then properties. If your IP address is static, i.e typed in, copy it down before you change it to the automatic detection settings. click on apply or ok, and try to browse. if it doesnt work, then you can repeat the process and retype in the IP address. That way you cant mess up with your connection, good luck!
  7. For a LAN connection you have a static IP, for dial up your IP changes every time you log in. You can only change in case of the former by contacting your ISP. They usually charge a small fee for the same.
