How can I configure the DGL-DLink 4300 router to automatically renew the WAN IP address once it expires?
I have a cable connection that assigns an IP address automatically. The lease time for the IP address is 12 hours. (I know, it sucks!). Now, everytime the lease time expires, I lose Internet connection on my LAN and I have to manually release and renew the WAN IP address on the router's config page. Using the latest 1.8 firmware

- Try downloading new firmware for the router.
- If this is the lease time shown on the router dhcp configuration page it is the internal lease time. In this case you can change it, save the changes and restart the router. Set it to 28 days.
- the WAN IP lease time is set by your ISP, not by your router. You should not drop connectivity as the lease should automatically renew with the same IP address if you leave it switched on all the time. It may be that your ISP have configured their DHCP server to FORCE a new IP address after 12 hours.......in this case, you need to take it up with them as they are the only ones who can help
