How can I record the IP address of a hacker and turn them into authorities for prosecution?
Is there a way to record the IP address of a hacker and to then use that recording to track this person or persons down and have them incarcerrated for that?

- Depends how much damage they caused. Personal damage probably won't get you far. If it is damaging to a business, and it causes loss to the business in terms of money, data both private and client, they might be more intrested. You should start by talking to your authorites first regardless of evidence or not.
- Good luck. More than likely they are using a proxy anyway and it wont go back to him/her. Even more so, they are not in the US or Europe so waste of time. Keep your computer protected and configured right and stop them at the door.
