How can I hide my IP address on a wireless network?

I have an ant-virus protection software that can detect IP addresses on a wireless network and I have seen other people on mine lately (which I don't really mind). But just in case they have a similar software, is there any way to hide my IP address on a wireless network so that they can't see it?Thanks for your help!

  1. My fav proxy type site. ive tried everything with this and its virutally undetected: http://kaxy.com/ i went on a site that detects if you got a proxy server and it wasnt detected and this detetected eevrything else i used go on site and browse whatever you want p.s. i found this username and pw if you want it =) Username: Decoy Password: 123456 it was on bugmenot.com Good luck.. i dont know if this really HIDES it on a wireless network, but this is annoymous web searching
  2. Since it likely discovers by either a ping or a scan of the TCP/UDP ports your software is using, a software firewall that is blocking ICMP (which is protocol that ping uses) and those ports will do the trick. I would mind, btw, if people were on my wireless system. You may be held accountable for actions they do while on your IP space.
