IP Address?

How do you change an IP address?

Public Comments

  1. You personally can't, your ISP has to if your really want to. if you did something illegal they will still find you through your isp though. only thing you can do is reset your ip address but that doesn't change it. :)
  2. E-mail me and I'll tell you how.
  3. It is usually kept the same by your ISP but you could try turning your router/modem off and on again. If you just want to browse anonymously then use a proxy site like http://www.12pc.info
  4. We need more information. If you are using a router, you go into your settings and change it to static ip (not dhcp). Then you go into Control Panel > Network Connections > right-click on your network card > Properties > scroll down to TCP/IP and click Properties. Set the IP there. If you are not using a router, you may not be able to change your IP. If you are hoping to have a different ip so that you can access a certain site, you will have to forget all of the above and search the internet for a proxy server you can use.
  5. http://www.12pc.info
  6. You can't, but you can download an IP mask or do a search for a proxy site. Unfortunately, proxy sites tend to be very slow and full of ads.
  7. If your IP address is assigned by DHCP you can unplug the modem for a few minutes and plug it back in (or perform a DHCP Release and DHCP Refresh from within your router's setup); you should get a new IP address.
