IP address?

I have the IP address of somebody who is stalking me through myspace. The IP address is 68.101.1.155 Is there any way of finding out who this is? I got the IP address by using a profile tracker. This person has been checking my profile several times a day for the last month. I'm really concerned. Can you help me figure out who this is? I don't want to set my account to private. I would rather be able to keep tabs on what they're up to. I just want to figure out who this is and what they're up to. Is anybody a hacker? Can anybody get me a name? Anything more specific than just the town they're from? Niceville is less than 10 miles from me so I know they're close. Now I need to find out who? Fantastic answers guys! I'm having a really hard time selecting a best answer. I know that I'm dealing with somebody who lives less than 10 miles from my house so that really concerns me! I really wish there was a way to find out who they are so I could determine how much I should be worried about this.

1. If you're really scared, you could turn them into the police, as that is the best thing you can do. I believe they can track down to the computer with the IP address. Make sure you are not giving out too much information on Myspace... or at least lock your door when no one's home.
2. Firstly, I would really reccomend putting your profile on private, seriously. Stalkers can be very clever with taking your personal information, they can even just as easily track you through your IP address. I'm sorry I don';t know how to track the IP address, but I know it is possible. If you are very concerned, write a diary of the activities that the stalker is doing to you, or contact the police. It is best not to reply to the stalker, and be sure not to leave your information anywhere that they can see.

4. i did a reverse dns lookup on the ip address you gave and the computer name is: ip68-101-1-155.pn.at.cox.net looks to me like cox.net is an isp so the stalker is probably a subscriber of theirs - might be an idea to contact cox.net and see if they can do anything to help
5. Depending on where you are, and if this person has been contacting you after you have requested they stop, then their activities may be considered stalking according to the penal code. That would be a matter for your local police. As for someone reading your myspace several times a day, your putting the information on line, in a non-private profile. It's weird but what can happen. If you really wish to find out who this person is, you can hire a private eye specializing in Internet issues, or use an IP address look up system. http://www.ip-adress.com/ipaddresstolocation/ will show you the area, from where they are logging on. According to this they are from Niceville, Fl, I mean how bad can they be?
