Why does my laptop crash everytime I set up my home wireless network?
I'm using a d-link rangebooster G wireless router

- I had a similar problem with an internal Intel wifi adapter in my Dell laptop. I had a linksys wireless-G router, and my laptop would crash whenever it tried to connect. I solved the problem by disabling the internal adapter and using a linksys adapter instead.
- When you set up your home wireless router, the router has to reboot to start using the new setting. This reboot breaks the wireless connection to your laptop. A good wireless adapter (hardware and driver combination) should search for the network you specified and reconnect again as long as you haven't changed the SSID, encryption method or encryption key. Go through the configuration of your wireless adapter on your laptop to make sure you didn't fix something you didn't intend to. The default setup usually is the most flexible.
