- email me at jtjimbo183@sbcglobal.net ill tell you all about it. its illegal
- In a command prompt, type: netstat -a This will give you a list of all active connections, and then from there figure out which one belongs to them! Previous answerer: This is not, in any way, illegal. Don't try to scam the poor guy into taking a trojan/spyware from you.
- im not to sure if you can even do something like that. Because, a bunch of people can do a lot with someones IP Address. People can use an IP address to have someone else's computer. Thus, I don't think you can do something like because its a violation of someone elses privacy.
- Most of those protocols do not initiate a direct connection to the PC so netstat wont work. You cannot see their IP if you do not have a connect to them. MSN and Yahoo both do file transfers via an IM proxy, you'll only ever see the IP of the IM server.
