- You shouldn't have any problems with the router working with your DSL. Connect the router directly to the DSL modem. Everyone else connects to the router. To determine if your laptop has wireless capability - "start" , then right click on "my computer", select properties, then in the window that pops up select device manager. In the list of stuff in device manager look for the "network adapters" icon, then click the plus sign next to it. If you have a wireless adapter installed it will appear here. The wireless router I would recommend is one that supports 802.11G.
- there will be a button somewhere on your laptop that says WIFI or WLAN, if it hasnt you will have to buy one, you plug it into the usb port and yes the router will work with your modem
- I have at&t yahoo dsl and it came with a wireless router 2701hg-b but if I was shopping for a router I would go with linksys wrt54g easy setup check for wireless in laptop right click my computer, properties, hardware, device manager, click on the plus beside network adapters, and it should have an entry like 802.11 and that will be the wireless capability
