can i use a spare Netgear wireless router as a wireless network card for a desktop pc?

can i do this instead of going to buy a brand new desktop pc wireless card? just connect it through the ethernet ports or something?

  1. No. You need a NIC. Go to newegg.com and look for one. They are quite inexpensive.
  2. Not really. It's possible, but you would need to be an experienced network technician. If you can move your DSL or Cable modem & wireless router near your computer, then you could just plug your computer into the wireless router's LAN port and be surfing in no time.
