I am setting up a wireless network in my home. What hardware do I need, and how do I do it?

I have a desktop and laptop that will share a printer. I have approx 3500 sq foot house and desire reliable connectivity throughout the house. I have a wireless network card for my laptop, but need to know the best wireless router to buy given my scenario, and also any other hardware that I may need such as a switch. I am a network novice and need help. Thanks to all that respond.

2. hi, we have three laptops in our house, and all of them are connected to the wireless through the router. I think you will need a modem, a router (we have dlink, and it is working well). Thats all i think. hope this helps
3. just go to besy buy then look for the linksys internet router... it's not that expensive... then when you have it... insrt the disc in your laptop then follow the instructions...
