IP address?

So, my boyfriend thinks I am cheating on him because he found a post on Craigsligs in the personals section from somebody with the exact same IP address as me. I did NOT post anything on there, and I know that no IP address can be the same. How is that possible, that somebody with my IP address posted on there that wasn't me? Was I hacked or something? Thanks! Craigslist*, sorry.

1. its not your fault. y should some one hack your ip and use to post msgs? and if your ip address is starting woith 192. 168. it is same for in every network, but not in internet.if u have a lan and i have another lan, we both can have same ip address in within our net work. if you are going to use inter net, same ip address will be showing for all who using same internet within a net work. if you are sharing internet or if you are using a part of internet. it can happen. that is what we call public ip. if im using laptop in first floor and you using a pc second floor and using same internet, public ip will be same, but network ip will be different.

Many ISP recycle dynamic IP addresses amongst its clientele so if the poster uses the same ISP as you, it is remotely possible that this can occur if they previously had the IP number that you currently have. Also you didn't specify if you are on a wireless connection with router. If the proper security isn't in place, someone could be using your connection while "war-driving" or other illicit means. Finally you should check to make sure you have no malware on your computer by running your antispyware and antivirus scans in case someone is using your computer as a zombie.
3. You know, IPv4 are 32 bit and can only address more than 4 billion computers, so they must use DYNAMIC IP to save the IP resource. That means each time you start your PC your computer your IP will be different (except the case that you buy a static IP), and after you disconnect the IP will be provided to another PC. That why your boyfriend saw your IP on Craigsligs. /Sorry for my English
4. First check and see if you have a floating (it changes everytime you connect) or static ip address, you can go here to check . Once here type in the ip adress you found on craigslist and see where it comes back to. Make sure the ip adress on craigslist isn't just the ISP address. http://www.ip-adress.com/

6. It is first good to know of you have static of dynamic ip address. If you have dynamic ip address then is not any wonder that somebody have exact ip address as you. If you have static ip address then it may be problem.
