I cant connect to the internet on my dell latitude cpi with my speedtouch wireless pc card model 0110?

Hi i have a dell latitude cpi and i have just resently installed xp on it and ot wont recognise the wireless card wich is a speedtouch wireless pc card model 0110 i brought the laptop off of ebay and it came with windows 2000 and the card, but it wont recognise it so i thought that it would work with XP but it still dosent. I have also installed a BVRP connection manager lite and when i try to connect it says Wirles settings FINISHED SSID Flower92 and then says TCP/IP configuraton Finished with a big red cross and says that the DHCP server dose not respond could any body help please i am very desparate Cheers

  1. First, if XP isn't recognizing the card you just need to install the appropriate drivers for it. Second, if it's prompting to connect to an SSID then it sounds like the card is recognized but you're not getting DHCP address assigned. This is most likely due to some security configuration in the wireless router. Are you entering the correct password for the router connection? Is MAC address filtering turned on in the router? Are you using the appropriate security settings to connect to the router (WPA2-PSK, WEP, WPA, etc)? Check these things then see if you still have problems.
