wireless router?

Is a wireless router better than a wired router? Right now I have a linksys wired router and I cant play xbox live and go on the internet at the same time, so some ppl are saying to get a wireless router. Will this solve my problem or should I mess around witrh the wired router I already have?

  1. Wireless router is wayyy better. thanks for posting, happy new year
  2. Well what's your problem? For the wired router, all internet-accessing devices will need to be near each other so they can all be plugged into the same router. If you get a wireless router, then you can get adapters/PC cards, and you'll be able to access the internet from anywhere within the vicinity of the router (around your house), as long as you have the adapter or PC card plugged in.
  3. A wireless router allows several users to access the Net at the same time through the router. You won't even know the others are there if you set it up right.
  4. Since you already have the wired router, why not try adding an access point in line with the router. It's much less expensive than the wireless router?
