i need help to set up a wireless home network please!!!?
ok so on our current computer i have our cable modem---then i have a wireless router----then our computer. so for my new desktop to be able to access the internet do i need to buy a desktop wirless network adapter card for my desktop or do i need to just buy another wireless router like i already have?

- You would just need to by a desktop wireless network adapter for your computer. - OR - A lot of wireless routers have a port to plug Ethernet cables as well. If so, you could simply get an Ethernet cable to run between you desktop and the router, depending on how far apart it was.
- for wireless you need a cable modem a reouter and a network adapter. thats all i use. i have the modem plugged into my router and then i have a usb network adapter on my pc. regards
- Most routers have an inbuilt set of LAN ports. You can directly connect to these from the network card in the new machine. If you need to use wireless you can buy a wirleess adaptor for it, if you buy a USB wireless card you can connect it through an extension lead and raise the card above the back of the machine to get the best signal. Most Belkin USB cads come with their own extension lead and a card stand.
