My computer keeps disconnecting from my home wireless network?
I have set up a WEP home wireless network with at 128 bit hexidecimal encyrption. When i turn on my computer (Dell XPS M1330 with inbuilt Intel wireless a/b/g card) it connects to my network (I have put in the encryption code) and it connects to the internet for 20-30mins and then disconnects and wont find the network again until i reboot the system. There is another laptop on the network and it has none of these problems! I have tried to reinstall the driver and all the steps windows troubleshooter suggests but it doesnt fix it. And its not just my home network because it happends on my university network

- I have seen this before when the power settings of the WiFi radio in the laptop are set to conserve battery life. Apparently, this turns off the radio after it's not used for awhile--or cuts back on the transmit power. I would make sure your laptop device drivers are up to date.
- It's your wireless reciver. If you can have it looked at by a pro in IT(information tec.) And if is'nt that check your softwear hat mannages it or a security program thats all i can think of.
- Go into the device manager and look at the properties for your wireless card, now under power management there is an option to turn the device off to save power, make sure that is unchecked and your problem should be fixed!
- Speak to your network provider,tell them to get this done cause your are paying real money for the Internet service.you will also realize,what is their after sales service,If not subscribe to another network provider cause there are a lot to choose from just to settle your problem once and for all.
- right click the wireless icon on the taskbar,click repair, this will solve the problem
