is there a way you can control someone's computer if you know their IP address?!

3. It's called hacking. ? If you are asking about a legal way... there are tools such as pcanywhere, vnc, and others... If you are asking about illegal means (ie, hacking).. then you would literally need to hack into the persons computer via that IP address in a way that you were able to place a remote access tool on it... or get them to install it (ie, a trojan). 4. Yes, there are lots of ways. But you shouldn't do it unless you have that persons permission. This is something I do at work on a daily basis, but each computer I get on remotely I have their permission.
5. There are programs that you can use to gain access to a computer if you know an IP address. But there are several other factors such as firewalls that need to be overcome. If they have a program called VPN on their computer and you know the IP address, you could conceiveabaly get control of their computer.
6. yes, but t think that there must be some kind of a utility or an application to do that .. it also depends on the type of Internet connection you're using .
7. Yes, but you really have to know your stuff, or you have to get them to open an executable file that would install remote software. If it's something you really want to do, then google how to install VNC remotely. Caution it is illegal to do so.
8. yes, of course you can have access to any remote system. There are several software programs available which can help u to connect to another system if you know its ip. Though factors like firewall may provide some hindrance. Though i would suggest you to do such a thing only when u are having required permissions to do so. otherwise this may prove bad to you if u are caught as it is illegal.

10. No!! You can not access someone PC only if you know ip address. Even if PC does not have firewall advanced hackers can not do it. To access PC you need permission from owner or you need to access (better say hack) without his knowledge. Most probably by infecting his PC with trojan but i guess that most users today are enough educate to have installed on his PC AntiVIrus with Firewall and that they do not gonna to open every file send in email from unknown sender.
