wireless router?
i would like to connect a wireless router to my modem ... i've been told that it would be pointless to get a wireless-n if my card on my laptop is a wireless-g .. i don't know what my card is .. it is the one that came with my laptop .. which is a toshiba satellite .. a 55 model .. how can i figure out what kind i have .. it's not in the paperwork anywhere also .. i was wondering if i just get a regular wireless-g router .. will i still be able to watch movies online .. on netflix .. and i am thinking of playing some games online .. thanks

- Your machine probably has a Wireless-G network card. Get the Wireless-G. And yes, you will be able to watch movies via Netflix. Games will work just fine. Have fun.
- If you don't want to think about it, search for 'wireless router bgn' on the internet. You can get a router compatible with all three standards so it is not an problem. The issue for netflix and games is not whether it is g or some other standard; it is simply whether or not your connection through your router works. And if it works, then you can do those things; although you would be better off for live games to play through a computer with a direct Internet connection to minimize lag.
