Wireless Router?
I already have a wired router but I would also like to install an additional WIRELESS router for my iPod Touch to use. How could I install it so that both a wired AND wireless router are working at the same time?

- there are wireless router have ports for wires , so you can use it instead of your wire router. but if you want to have wireless router without wire ports , then you will need splitter for the line to get two lines and just plug it in the wireless router and it will work without effecting on the wire router.
- Quite simple: Your wired router has an IN port (from the cable modem) and probably 4 or 8 OUT ports (ports for your computers, etc). Take a regular ethernet cable and plug it into any one of of the 4 or 8 OUT ports on the wired router and plug it into the IN (internet) port on the wireless router. You can also remove the wired router and just use the wireless router. Sell your wired router on ebay to help pay for your wireless router.
- Depending on the type of router - it should have an option to run it as a Router, or as a Gateway. You want the second router to run in Router mode, and have it optain an IP from the first router, and have it give out IPs for a different subnet. For example: router 1 - Gateway - Connected to Cable modem. Internal IP Range: 192.168.1.X router 2 - Router Mode - Obtains IP from Router 1 - External IP: 192.168.1.X - Internal IP Range: 192.168.2.X You may need to set up static routes, depending on hardware manufacturers.
