Wireless Router?
I have wireless in my apartment because the cable internet is in the living room and I have a laptop. Either way. Ive seemed to have nothing but problems with it Im not sure why. Initially I thought it was my computer, but It can pick up other wireless signals in the neighborhood so I know its not that. My bf told me it was my wireless router or whatnot. I then plugged in my laptop directly into the internet and nothing it stays stuck on acquiring network address. so then it makes me think its the internet. I dont know but Im going crazy because I dont want to pay for internet I cannot even access. Should I try to buy a new wireless router? any reccomendations? I have a netgear one now Ill probably get a different brand. Any clue or idea what is going on? Ive tried unplugging everything and restarting stuff .. still nothing

- The problem may be with your router connected to the cable modem. I have seen this a few times myself. Have you tried turning off your cable modem, router and your PC for a few minutes, and then turning on the cable modem, router and your PC in that order?
- You should talk to your cable Internet provider. They have seen all of these problems and they will be the quickest to be able to tell you where the problem is. My experience has been pretty good with the cable support calls.
