wireless card?
ok yeah its me again. Can you people tell me the button to press to turn the wireless on and where it is exactly located because I am lost. And also why is it that when my sister bought her laptop she did not have to go through all of this trouble she just found a wireless network and everything worked fine? O sorry for not mentioning the model It is a Dell D600 LAttitude

- can't help you if you don't mention the make and model, they are all different. It could also be that your wireless card drivers are not installed or correct. Good luck
- Need a make and a model. Recomend looking for it on the the F keys often is a tower with )) or something like that to use that key you may need to press the Fn key near the Left Control and Alt key
- Elaborate! The wireless should go active as soon as the software and hardware is correctly installed. Then there must be a nearby access point. If you not sure what is going on borrow someones laptop and try to connect to your system
- Some laptops have an actual hardware switch to turn the internal wireless card on/off. It is usually on the front, or above keyboard. Also make sure that your wireless card is actually enabled under the network settings. You may want to provide manufacturer/model of latop and version of Windows you are using for more detailed help.
- Go to the "Device Manager", select "Network Adapters", right-click on the wireless card and enable it . If you don't see it, remove the card and put it back physically. Good luck!
