wireless card?

i have a wireless pc card 54g.do i need a router to get the net?

2. The answer is yes. But before this, read through your wireless card installation instructions carefully. Some cards require you to install the drivers first, then plug in the card into your motherboard. Others require you to plug in the card into your motherboard, then install the drivers. If you try anything the other way round, it might not work. Once done, shut down the PC, plug in the router. Start up your PC and let your wireless card scan for your wireless network. Connect to it and follow the router's manual given to you to configure it. With that done, you can start surfing the Net.
