wireless card?

In order to guarantee I will get a signal anywhere there is a wireless network, can I just go with wireless n? Do I have to have a card that will "accept" a/b/g in order to guarantee I can connect anywhere there is a connection?

  1. It should be backward compatible. See here: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=2688&
  2. Go to your card manufacturers website and see if the card is backwards compatible. Many of them are, but it doesn't hurt to make sure.
  3. if you have an N wireless card in your pc you will be able to connect to any a/b/g/n network
