How can i connect back to my wireless home network?
I just moved back home from college for the summer and i can't get my computer to connect to our wireless home network. We used an ethernet connection at the dorms but i can't seem to connect to the internet at all. I don't know what to do know.

- I assume you can see the wireless network in Windows wireless network tool If that is true, then either 1) the network is set up with encryption, and you need to enter the key. 2) the router is not serving as a DHCP server, and your machine is expecting it to. You get a limited connection if this is true. 3) the router is set up to only server network addresses to a known set of MAC addresses and your machine is not in that set. Again you get limited connection. You can't distinguish #2 and #3 without going to the router.
- Connect this laptop wired to the router and check if you can go online. If you can , go to the router settings page and check for the Network Name [SSID] and change encryption. Disconnect the wire and go to View available wireless connxn from Network connxn's hightlight your network and click connect.
