How do I setup a wireless home network??
I have dell dimension 9100 desktop with windows xp and what I wanna do is allow my desktop downstairs to share my files and printer. I am using the Linsys Wrt54G wireless router and usb adapter for my existing internet connection and have attempted to set up the network myself, but no luck. Please HELP!!!

- Your internet provider should be definately be helping you do that.
- what os is the computer downstairs running? if it's running xp as well it's probably all ready set up. what's left is to right click /properites and turn sharing on the printer and folders you want to access from the remote computer.
- On the Start Menu find the Help and Support - click on it and choose index and type in "walkthroughs" - you will see networking as an option.
- Having file and printer sharing enabled isn't always the best thing to do when you're connected to the internet. Anyway, I don't have your brand of router, but you can try following Microsoft's tutorial. The link is below. Make sure that one computer is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable. Also, use WPA-PSK TKIP or WPA2-PSK TKIP security for your wireless network. If you still can't get it to work, you'll have to call Linksys' tech support.
- Use the link below to download the user guide and quick install reference. RTFM, FWIIW
