My Wireless Lan PC card seems to work, but I still cannot connect to the internet. What should I do?

It's an 802.11g Turbo Wireless Lan PC Card. The Link and Activity lights show up fine, but whenever I try to connect to the internet the page cannot be displayed.

  2. are you trying to connect to a wireless router? If so did you enable wireless on it? _

  4. Go to Start--->control panel--> Network Connections. Right click on the connection where Local Area Connection is specified or right-click on the the connection you use then click on Properties. In the General tab, check all the check boxes, especially Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Then click on Properties. Choose Obtain an IP address automatically and also Obtain a DNS server address automatically. click on OK then on OK again. Try connecting now.
  5. Use the card's own wireless utility to search for your network, set the encryption key and then connect. You will see activity on any wireless connection, but the card gets no network communication until it has the same encryption key.
