wireless cardbus pc card?

its a hi-speed g-series 2.4 ghz 54m wireless cardbus pc card from hawking what is it and what does it do? is it good or sucky or?? we use it with hawking hi-speed 54g wireless router (hwr54g). basically someone set up the home router but we're no longer in touch so im trying to figure out this stuff... the internet wont work on my laptop though.

  1. I'm not a huge fan of Hawking products -- they're a little on the 'cheap' side. But if it's working okay for you, there's no reason to change. It's generally 'a good thing' if your wireless adapter card is made by the same manufacturer as your wireless router -- helps to reduce compatibility problems.
