- If should give other laptop the same wireless access if follow the same setup procedure.
- The only computer that will have Internet access is the one the PC card is placed into.
- The wireless card from Verizon is a technology known as EVDO. Basically you'll be getting Internet access through the same equipment that gives you cell phone service. You want to know if you can get "standard" wireless Internet, like that found at Starbucks? That technology is known as WiFi and is completely different than EVDO. Now for the good news. If your laptop has a built in WiFi radio (802.11b/g), which most newers ones do, then you will also be able to get WiFi with your laptop. If not, then you'll need a card just the EVDO card you have from Verizon, only it will have Wifi on it. Then you'll have to swap them. Good news is that WiFi PCMCIA cards are very cheap today.
