Can anyone tell me if Gateway model No. SOLO 9100 can take a PC wireless card? It runs on Windows 98.?
It is pretty old, but it worked when I stayed at a hotel using the ethernet cable before. Now, I am staying at hotel that only has a wireless connection and they don't have the USB/Ethernet OR phone line hook up. I bought a Netgear 108 Mbps wireless PC card with the guidence from the BEST BUY salesmen. OBVIOUSLY, I know very little about computers, and can't afford a new one.It is the Trident dvd version and has the slot on the side. I pulled out that thing and inserted this one w/ software, but no luck. Can anyone make this confusing process clear?PLEASE:( Any additional info I can provide, but I have a feeling someone MUCH more knowledgable will solve this quickly with a simple yes or no. Thank you for being kind(I hope.lol.lol) when responding to unexperienced computer user. ASAP if possible, I need it to work. Thank you.

- You can follow your wireless card book/Manual for minimum system requirements, if those meet with your system then YES else NO.
