wireless home network file sharing?
Alright, I have a DSL (ATT) 2-wire Wireless Router. Internet (Via Wireless) is working perfectly. I cannot seem to figure out WHY I cannot setup a local network between the Desktop and Laptop. Yes All the Protocols are installed too. (File/Print Sharing) and IPX.

- you ever here of msn file transfer
- Visit this website... it's very helpful!
- You don't need IPX, network uses IP. My guess is that your firewall is blocking access on your local lan. Add the ip range to the allowed traffic on your firewall... usually 192.168.0.1 --- 192.168.0.254 or 192.168.1.1 -- 192.168.1.254 ....
- If you already ran the Wizard, skip this answer... You're set... Control Panel (Classic View) ---> Wireless Network Setup Wizard ---> . The wizard will walk you through setting up which is the host, naming the network, configuring computers, etc. Ctrl Panel Category View: select Network and Internet Connections; then set-up a Wireless Network for Home... Start on whatever you want the Host computer to be, and be prepared for alot of walking back and forth! It shouldn't give you any problems, but if it does, it has its own troubleshooter, and of course you always have us Yamsters!
