How to setup a Wireless network for Broadband Internet in Home?

I have a desktop PC with normal LAN and a Laptop with both normal and Wireless LAN. I want to setup a lan in my home so that i can use internet in laptop in any room. What are the devices reqd. and their tentative cost in India. I need a cheap solution. I have a Sify BB connection but I can change over to MTNL or Tata Indicom BB if reqd.

1. You would need a wireless router. Replace your existing router with it. You will then have to go through internet and network setup on all PCs most likely.

I don't know how much is the price in India, but usually all you need to have for a wireless internet connection is a modem/router that supports that, the one that have(usually) an antena, since you already hav a laptop with wi fi feature. just call your provider and ask them if they can help you find the right device, sometimes they even lend you the device, at least my provider does. and the cost is not different with a non wireless connection. that's all i know

6. Hey this is a good scenario to use Bluetooth. All you need is Windows XP SP 2 and Bluetooth adapter (around 600Rs) - your laptop may already have bluetooth. You can setup a PAN (Personal Area Network) on bluetooth and share the systems, internet connection and more. I have connected my desktop PC and laptop with Bluetooth PAN. Its quite easy and flexible.
