I`m trying to setup a wireless network but i find it so complicated. I have a wireless router,?

and a usb adapter. my maine computer is connected with a ethernet cable which lead from the wireless router to the main computer. and i install the usb adapter on the second computer. but on my main computer i dont see a wireless network,but i see it on the second computer. I would like to know how to config both computer for a wireless network. I would be more than happy if anyone willing to send me a step by step instructions how to setup a wireless home network. The main computer is xp home edition & the second is a laptop pro edition. Thank you.

1. well you should first check if the main computer has a wireless adapter becuase if your main computer has no wireless adapter, you really wont be able to see the wireless network. From what you are describing right now, everything (setup and everything) sounds good just have your main computer checked if it has a wireless adapter ^_^
2. Ok now your main computer is link direct to wireless router so you will wont see the wireless signal because you are using the ethernet cable to link,so this is call local area connection. Now u have to start->setting->contol penal->network connection->local area connection->properties->internet protocol(TCP/IP)->set all to auto->ok->check the gateway ->open IE type geteway address like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx->inside the routher you will follow the rules and setting(inside u can set wiress setting ,if donno to set just make sure the wirelss function is enable->save->go to ur lap top and follow the network connection setting (set all seeting to auto )and set your workgroup to same and restart ,you will get it.
