wireless home network setup using windows connect now?

want to setup home network with 1 desktop, 1 laptop using windows connect now and a flash drive. It seems very simple. I have a 2wire wireless gateway modem 2700h. at one point i am instructed to connect flash drive to usb port of windows connect now compatible router of access point. my question is where on the router is a usb port or where exactly is my access point. Is it on the original computer I am transferring data from? I think I can do this with a little help

  1. I don't think a router has a USB port. . What it means is, that you need to stick the flash drive in the USB port on the main computer so that it can copy files to the flash drive. . Then when it's done, put the flash drive into the laptop, and it'll set the network on the laptop.
