Should I buy a PC card network adapter to connect to my broadband router if it has a built in wireless card?

I was wondering if I should still purchase a PC card network adapter to connect my notebook to my wireless broadband router (Linksys WRT54G) even if there is Wireless-G technology on the laptop? Would this improve signal or is it unecessary?

  1. It should not be necessary if the internal laptop card and pick up your signal. If the signal is weak, you may want to get an external card
  2. It would be useless. The wireless G built in is all you need.
  3. You are good. Don't waste your money. If you NEED a better signal, a PC card will help tremendously, and depending on the card you can buy a 3rd party antenna to improve signal even more (if the access point is like a mile away =)
