Why can I connect my laptop to the internet via my home network but CANNOT share files and printer ?
My setup is as follows: a main PC with printer and a BT Home Hub, another desktop upstairs and a laptop. All 3 can use the internet no problem, and until recently could also do file & printer sharing. I then upgraded the HDD in the main PC as the old one was full, but now cannot activate sharing. The old HDD is still connected, if I change the settings so it reverts to the master boot drive then the sharing still works. But I want the new HDD to be the master boot drive. No matter how many times I run the "Wireless network setup wizard", and run around the house from PC to PC with the USB memory key allegedly containing the new settings, I still cannot share anything. What am I doing wrong ? Thanks

- start network places, instead of wireless, click setup home or office network, it should be the one with the house icon on it! and set it up there!
